John Muir Trail 2025

Me at the Muir Hut on top of Muir Pass while hiking on the John Muir Trail

I decided to spend a few weeks hiking the full John Muir Trail, southbound, from Happy Isles in Yosemite Valley to the summit of Mount Whitney.  I averaged a little over 10 miles per day, which made it much more enjoyable than a two week, fifteen mile per day trek.  Why rush things?  The JMT runs through the Heart of the High Sierra, one of the prettiest places on Earth, and I intended to experience its beauty for as long as possible.  Anyway, this page is the Table of Contents for my 2025 John Muir Trail thru-hike.  Enjoy!
