Vicki and I decided to take a Road Trip through Owens Valley in the Eastern Sierra in late September, when the weather was cooler than Summer’s roasting heat. We spent four nights and five days travelling from Lone Pine to Bridgeport along US 395, the Eastern Sierra Scenic Byway, fishing, hiking, camping, eating, and exploring. It was a mellow way to end my long season of backpacking through the Sierra Nevada.
Day 2: Western Film History Museum and more
Day 3: Owens River, Laws Museum, McGee Creek
Day 5: Autumn Aspens and Manzanar Historic Site
